As a composer, performer, and above all as a citizen, I find the politicians' disregard for culture terrible, and even more so when the disregard from those who should watch over it, as indicated by their position.

Until when will this country be like this!

I am totally in favor of whatever musical and cultural celebrations are held in my land, it would be a shame to let such beneficial things for the city die. Let's also think about the people who visit us.

I support the continuity of this festival that allows us to listen to good music in León. Due to its years of experience, it cannot be abandoned.

As director of the Melómano magazine and a good connoisseur and friend of the Festival, I hope that this situation will be solved and that music will not once again become one of the first victims of the shortage of money. It is not the most expendable, although some politicians believe that it is.

It will be a shame to see how everything that is culture is cut to support the destruction of creative work through the financing of the culture of massas (for sale) with which all young people from colleges and schools where there is no education are educated true cultural and intercultural ... it is also even sadder to see how there are no cuts for those responsible for the cuts - The BANKS

That this problem be solved soon for the good of all and for the effort of all those who take so many years making this Festival possible ...

The Spanish Music Festival cannot disappear. It has been many years before getting here: absolute premieres, scores rescued from oblivion, opportunities for young performers, recordings and chamber concerts, symphony ... The Festival has not forgotten the musicians from here. He has always had a place for us. Let us trust that all this happens and not only that the Festival does not disappear but that it is strengthened, supported and continues to grow.

With the budget that supposes a dinner of our politicians, a music festival of these characteristics could be organized.

My most sincere support for the Spanish Music Festival in the face of the resentment towards all those who insist on not leaving even the slightest gap for classical music.

For nine years I have been Public Relations of this Festival, and I have fought with its Director overcoming all the difficulties that the road put us. It cannot be less, that I support with my signature that this continues.

This Festival, throughout all these years, has made many premieres and the work of all the Spanish composers of all time has always been interpreted, the composers of a country, ours, so full of art and ingenuity, and who are doomed to oblivion due to the laziness and disinterest of those who hold power and administer our assets, by those who prefer to turn their peculiar way of administering them into listening to foreign composers, (which is also necessary) but who do not hear them either, because few they are the ones sensitive to music, denying help "to those at home." I don't want to start thinking that to be recognized and supported here, you have to have been born abroad, and better be Smith than López, I don't want to.

Falla, Albeniz, Mompou, Eslava, Montsalvatge, Toldrá, Guridi, Brotóns, Bretón, de Victoria, Cabezón, Barja, los Halffter, Turina, Granados, J.Rodrigo, de Narváez, de Mudarra, Durón, Moreno Torroba, A.Soler , Cassadó, ..... an endless list of composers and the living that I do not mention here, but that you all delight with your music, I want to continue listening to your works.

Courage, Miguel and Julia, keep fighting and let your discouragement not overcome.

My unconditional support for the León Spanish Music Festival and the Iberian Association, which organizes it, for these twenty-three years of recovery, publication and dissemination of an ignored and forgotten musical heritage. León will truly enter a crisis if this Festival disappears, as it represents a breath of fresh air within the musical culture of León.

YES, TO THE LEÓN SPANISH MUSIC FESTIVAL.

LEÓN HAS THE RIGHT TO KNOW THE WORK OF ITS COMPOSERS

HAS THE RIGHT TO KNOW THE LEONESE PERFORMERS

LEÓN NEEDS TO KNOW SPANISH MUSIC IN ALL ITS EXTENT

I ask the City Council of León and the Councilor for Culture to reconsider their position and to see the Festival as a watchword of the Cultural Heritage of this city.
